1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), company name, phone number, and FOB state.
Marketplace activity: listings, Want to Buy posts, offers, messages between buyers and vendors, and saved UPC/brand alerts.
Usage data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and basic server logs (IP address, timestamps) used for security and rate-limiting, not tracking or advertising.

2. How we use it

We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating your account, showing your listings or posts to the right audience, matching alerts to new listings, sending you transactional emails (account verification, password reset, match notifications, order updates), and preventing fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. What we share, and with whom

When you message another user or accept an offer, the platform shares what's needed to complete that interaction — for example, a vendor's company name and FOB state are visible to buyers browsing listings, and contact happens through the platform's messaging.

We share information with service providers who help us operate the platform — currently our hosting provider and our transactional email provider — solely to provide those services, not for their own marketing use.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after in case you return or for legal and security recordkeeping. You can request deletion — see below.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by contacting [support email]. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. The site runs over HTTPS. We use rate-limiting and CSRF protection to guard against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

SimplyLiquify is a business-to-business platform intended for adults acting on behalf of a company. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
